Delete your MapPal account
This page explains the in-app deletion process. It is not a request form and does not collect account information.
Start deletion in MapPal
- Open MapPal and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Open Settings → Account & Data.
- Tap Delete Account, review the scope, and confirm the exact deletion prompt.
- Return to Account & Data to track the request. You can cancel only while MapPal explicitly shows that cancellation is available.
What deletion covers
After required checks complete, MapPal removes the server account, active sessions, Apple-account link, App Attest device state, import ownership and delivery data, rate-limit state, and other eligible account data. A completed deletion is not automatically recoverable; creating a new account may be required.
What requires a separate action
Your private pins, folders, notes, links, custom fields, and photos are stored on your device and in your private iCloud/CloudKit container. Server-account deletion does not erase that private library. Delete private content in the app and use Apple’s device/iCloud controls if you also want those copies removed.
Deleting your MapPal account does not cancel an App Store subscription. Manage or cancel it in Apple Account subscription settings. If you used Sign in with Apple, you may separately remove MapPal under Apple Account → Sign-In & Security → Sign in with Apple; this is not required for MapPal to erase its server account.
Records that may remain temporarily
Minimized transaction and anti-fraud facts may be retained for up to 24 months. Security logs and backups rotate through their ordinary protected retention periods, and records may be kept longer when required by law, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or provider security obligations. They are not used to reactivate a deleted account.
If you cannot access the app
Email support@getmappal.com for instructions. Support cannot delete or restore a protected account based only on an email address; additional proof of the same account may be required.
